DGTour turns your school's routes into a game you play with your phone. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: just open the site and start.
1. Pick a school
The home page lists every school taking part. Tap the one you are visiting to see the paths it has prepared.
2. Pick a path
Each path is a themed route made of several missions. You can see how many missions it contains and how many you have already completed.
3. Complete the missions
There are five kinds of mission:
- Reach the place - walk to the spot: the app checks your position with the GPS.
- Scan the code - find the printed QR code and frame it with your camera.
- Answer the quiz - pick the right answer for every question, sometimes with a picture to look at.
- Take the survey - tell us what you think: there is no right or wrong answer.
- Capture in AR - reach the spot, open the camera and capture a 3D object in augmented reality.
4. Finish the path
When every mission is done you get the congratulations screen. The app keeps track of how many missions you have completed overall.
What you need
A smartphone with an internet connection. Location access is required for the "Reach the place" and AR missions, camera access for the QR code and AR missions. You can revoke both at any time from your browser settings.
